Birthday Girl =)

Today is the day that just seemed as if it would never come when I was in my first couple years in College--My 21st Birthday.  The relevance has gone down now a-days....I like to have a drink every now and then, but it seemed way more important when it was so far away.  I spent last night with my fiance hanging out in our home and reorganizing my sewing area.  He got me a serging machine, and I cannot wait to use it!  He also took me horse back riding on the beach on an island in the Caribbean, what an amazing man I have! Last night he turned out all of the lights and told me to close my eyes, he walked out with the cutest birthday cake with candles on it that said "21"...and sang happy birthday to me.  It was the sweetest thing ever.

As we were laying in bed he said he needed to go get some socks because his feet were cold, and it was dark so I just believed him.  He comes and lays down with a heart shaped box filled with Dove Chocolates, which are my favorite!  He wanted to give them to my for Valentine's day, but he didn't want it to seem like he was mixing my birthday and Valentine's Day into one.  All I can say is I have the best man ever =)

The meaning of it all

It all began when I was a little girl.  I always had visions of designing my own clothing.  I can remember back to when I was younger and I would always alter my own clothing to make it the way I wanted it to be.  I would sit for hours working on one piece of clothing, hand-stitching away.  I always had a fascination in fashion and creating my own pieces.  Every dress I ever wore to dances, I would draw out with a pencil, and take it with me to different boutiques to find the exact dress I was looking for.  Same with how I wanted my hair done, I would draw to style I wanted and take it to my hairdresser.  I have always wanted to have my own line of clothing.  I studied in Fashion Merchandise for a little while at The Ohio State University.  I decided to pursue my education in an other field, but that was not the end of my fashion dream.  I would dedicate every second to every day to fashion and art if I could.  My mom got me my first sewing machine for my birthday, and since that day, I can not stop sewing.  My fiance Jon got me a Serger Machine for my birthday, which is SO AWESOME!  I plan to work really hard until I succeed at having my own line and clientele built so I can make my dream happen.  Life is crazy sometimes, and all you can really count on is making your life the way you want it to be by doing it yourself!

This is my little set up for now...Soon it will be the way I really envision it, but for now this is what I have and I love it <3

Jon and I are working on filling the wall with our own art =)

Cruise Princess

Wow!  I am in love with cruises. We had the most amazing time on our Caribbean Cruise!  I have traveled all around the world, and this was one of the best vacations I have been on.  Jon and I lived like a Prince and Princess for a week.  Everything was what I imagined and more....

We drove four hours to the Miami Port to set sail.  It was not a bad drive at all...well for me because I love to sleep in the car.  My man is a trooper, he will drive for hours and hours at a time and let me sleep like a little baby.  He is such a sweetie!  Anyways, when I first saw our cruise ship, I felt like we were getting onto the Titanic.  All week I would refer to our ship as The Titanic, it was fun =)

The first thing we did when we got on was book our shore excursions.  My birthday is on February 14th, so Jon booked me a surprise....RIDING HORSES ON THE BEACH!  I was so Happy!! Here is a little video to show my excitement...

Also, there is a little joke between Jon and I in this video, at the end of it I opened my mouth at the same time that Jon did his little chuckle laugh, and it really looks like it was me by the way my mouth was moving at the same time....You will have to watch it to see what I am talking about.  But Jon thinks it is me laughing, but I am 100% POSITIVE that it is him laughing...it was an ongoing discussion throughout the trip.  Let me know what you think!
So the horse back riding on the beach on the Island of Grand Turk was so amazing!  I loved it!

I think we could both get used to riding horses on the beach of a lonely island...maybe someday we will be able to do it again!!  It was the most amazing birthday gift I could have asked for.

After we rode on the shore, the let us go out into the water and the horses ran like wild animals.  It was the neatest thing ever!  We were on the horses bare-back and up to our waists in water...We got a short video clip of it because the man who was suppose to take our picture accidentally switched the camera to "video"...silly man!

After we rode horses, we explored around the island and found a lot of neat things..

We went to a local stand where they had conch...which is what The Grand Turk Islands are known for...and it was delicious!!

I cannot wait for our honeymoon because we are going on an other cruise.  We are going to be like those "die hard" cruise lovers who cannot stop talking about going on cruises...Now I get it!

Long lost blogger..

Today is a very special day...It is the day I have been putting off for a little while now.  I have always wanted to blog, but for some odd reason I always felt like I have to "get my blog together" and "prepare everything" before I start.  Now that I look back, I was being totally silly.  I have had my empty blog just sitting here waiting for me for quite some time.  What was I waiting on?  What is it that finally got me going?  The truth is...I do not even know myself.  All that I do know is that now that I am officially writing my first blog, I do not see myself ever going back to not posting blogs.
Whew! Enough about that!  Anyways, I want to tell you a little about myself.  Over time, you will learn more, but lets just hit the fast forward button to get to where I am now.  I am truly, deeply in love.  I finally met my special someone, and I never, ever saw it coming.  He just kind of "crept around the corner" and appeared--LITERALLY! I now am a true, firm believer in love and soul mates.  Thank goodness, because I feel off of the boat of love believers a long while ago.  Jon Christopher rescued me!  I am now planning our wedding and the clock is ticking upon us right now, just counting down the days and weeks before our special day. I will be making a whole blog all about our wedding here soon!
Today is also very exciting because we are leaving to go on a cruise tomorrow!  We are going out of Miami to the Caribbean.  We have been waiting for months now, and I cannot believe the day is finally here.  This also means I have to start packing now, for real.  Not just "mental" notes of what to pack, the day is here.  I have always felt like packing is a total weight upon my shoulders.  It really honestly stresses me out.  I always want to make sure that I have everything, but then comes not only everything, but the "right" things.  Like I may have everything that I need, but I do not want to get there and think, "Oh dear I wish I would have packed this instead of this!" or "Darn, my gold flats would have went better with this!"  That is what stresses me out.  I am going to try and truly organize everything and think about it in great detail, so that I do not have to feel regretful on how and what I packed.

Well I am going to get packing...It feels so great to be alive and blogging!
